The 2014 East-West Malaria Task Force Engagement brings together scientist and policy makers with demonstrated interest in malaria programs to share resources, strategies and expertise. This meeting will create opportunities to accomplish the following: enhance partner nations capacities and capabilities in malaria prevention, diagnostics, treatment, surveillance and program management during peacetime and deployment, establish mechanism for data sharing and risk communication between member nations and the United States, and increase member nations' readiness to participate on PKO. The discussion and action at this event will strengthen the task forces' ability to expand African militaries malaria prevention programs and enable secure environments in Africa.
